We invite all those who participate in THJ to help us maintain these guidelines and create safe and positive experiences for everyone. If you see someone who is making an extra effort to ensure our community is welcoming, friendly, and encourages all participants to contribute to the fullest extent, please let us know through our THJ feedback form. If you see inappropriate or unacceptable behaviour please get in contact with a committee member on the day, or alternatively contact us via email, or let us know through our THJ feedback form.
Appropriate Behavior
We wish for THJ participants to exercise consideration and respect in their speech and actions, attempt collaboration before conflict, and refrain from demeaning, discriminatory, or harassing behavior and speech. We also expect the same consideration and respect to be applied to content created during the THJ event.
Be mindful of your surroundings and of your fellow participants. Alert community leaders if you notice a dangerous situation, someone in distress, or violations of this Code of Conduct, even if they seem inconsequential.
Unacceptable Behavior
Unacceptable behaviors include: intimidating, harassing, abusive, discriminatory, derogatory or demeaning speech or actions by any participant in our site location or online community, at all related events and in one-on-one communications carried out in the context of community business. Content Policy
The Heritage Jam is about innovation, experimentation collaboration and learning from each other – during and after the Jam. All Jammers are expected to share their outcomes by uploading their final submitted project alongside assets, source-code and paradata pertaining to construction. It is encouraged that jammers submit a short text file explaining the steps taken during construction and the necessary programs required to continue construction. Third party tools, libraries, engines and assets that are used for the game, but were not created during THJ may be omitted from the submission, however must be attributed as appropriate and clear instructions regarding how to obtain or purchase these resources must be included in the submission.
Outcomes are uploaded under the Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 3.0 Creative Commons license (http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/3.0/). Meaning that the creators retain the IP of the outcome, thus retaining ownership of the original content. THJ retains a submitted copy which will be hosted on the website gallery and can be downloaded, modified and distributed for noncommercial purposes provided an attribution is attached.
